Ideal Experience of
Online Shopping
Research Centric Case Study | Lextant Framework of Research
Role: Researcher, Content Writer, Layout Design
Timeline: January to March 2023 (10 Weeks)
Mentor: Jeehoon Shin (Industrial Designer Professor at SCAD)
Tools: InDesign, Figma, Miro, Illustrator, Photoshop
Team: Akshat Agarwal, Christen Collins, Helena Chien, Skyler Diacou, Tanya Shah
Context: A course within the MFA in Design for Sustainability curriculum; we were tasked with selecting a commonly practiced activity and indulge into deep research using the Lextant Framework of Research, primarily used to organise and decode insights from original primary research. Our chosen activity – the Ideal Experience of Online Shopping – is widely practiced by anyone and everyone with access to the internet.
Intervention: Using the Lextant Framework of Research, we created an infographic highlighting primary feelings and emotions one experiences when they practice online shopping. With that, we designed a magazine to detail out our research and the meaning behind the emotions. This research could be used to identify specific consumer-faced shortcomings and further design solutions for the same.

our framework for
the Ideal Experience of Online Shopping

I feel in control when shopping online
"Shopping online not only saves me time and energy, but it also gives me confidence in my decisions. I have the ability to place or cancel an order whenever I want and am guaranteed a refund if necessary. This assurance makes me feel more confident and comfortable when making purchases online because I know that I have control over my shopping experience."
